A BUCKET of panipuri hitting the road may sound like a vendor’s worst nightmare.
But for one street-food seller in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, it apparently was nothing more than an unexpected pit stop for his snacks.
In a horror video post on X, the man could be seen casually collecting all those panipuri and putting them right back in the bucket.
The video did not reveal whether he continued to sell it to his hungry customers, but it is enough to give people a long pause.
PANIPURI TERJATUH ATAS JALAN, INDIA KUTIP BALIK DAN JUAL 🤢🤮🖕
Ingatkan kat India, rupanya dekat Brickfields, belakang NU Sentral. Panipuri terjatuh atas jalan, lepastu dia kutip balik dan jual la sia.
India dekat Malaysia ni sama je DNA dgn Indians from India

For netizens watching the clip, the scene was anything but appetising.
Instead of wondering whether the snacks had survived the fall, many would probably be asking whether their stomachs could survive the next few hours.
After all, panipuri is supposed to be a crunchy, flavour-packed treat filled with spicy water, chutneys and other ingredients.
It is not supposed to come with an additional serving of Kuala Lumpur road dust.
The scene was highlighted on threads too by a concerned customer.
Netizens have since turned up in the comment section to offer their opinion.
Take for example, vishallraj who believed DBKL and the immigration department should be pulling their weight around to ensure such things do not occur.
Several others pointed out that the vendor must be a migrant, and not a local.
However, theakhiratoriented claimed the seller may have picked up the panipuri because they didn’t want it to lay there littering the road.
After all, the video did not show him selling it to anyone. Netizen im_tristupe further advised people not to patronise such traders who do not have a license.
Brickfields has plenty of reasons to attract food lovers. But the incident undoubtedly raised an uncomfortable question for anyone who enjoys roadside delicacies.
Perhaps the vendor was operating under the philosophy that food should never go to waste. But a public road is hardly a certified food-preparation surface.
At this rate, panipuri lovers may want to ask for a food safety certificate before their next serving. After all, nobody orders street food expecting the road to be part of the recipe.—Oct 26, 2026
