KUALA LUMPUR, 9 SEPTEMBER 2026 – The new Novum Corporate Health framework aims to help Malaysian organisations coordinate workplace health programmes, medical readiness and selected industrial safety requirements through appropriate professional and technical partners.

Novum Health Solutions Sdn. Bhd. has introduced Novum Corporate Health, an evidence-informed framework developed under medical leadership to help organisations plan, source and coordinate workplace health, medical readiness and selected industrial safety requirements through appropriate clinical, professional and technical delivery partners.

The framework comes as employers face increasingly complex decisions around healthcare, workforce programmes and supplier management.

Aon’s Malaysia Pulse Survey Report 2025 found that 72% of organisations had experienced an increase in overall employee benefit costs over the previous three years, with 34% reporting increases of more than 10% annually. Meanwhile, Aon’s 2026 Global Medical Trend Rates Report projects Malaysia’s employee medical plan costs to rise by 16% in 2026.

For employers, however, the challenge extends beyond cost.

Workplace health and readiness requirements are often divided between different functions. HR may manage employee participation and communication, while Procurement oversees commercial terms. HSE and Facilities teams may be responsible for readiness requirements, while Operations manages scheduling, site access and implementation.

Delivery may then involve clinics, laboratories, allied health professionals, product suppliers, engineers and technical service providers.

Novum Corporate Health is designed to operate at this interface.

Coordinating Corporate Health Programmes

For HR and leadership teams, the framework can coordinate corporate health screening, workplace influenza vaccination and doctor-led health education.

It can also support annual health programme planning and selected partner-led pathways covering areas such as musculoskeletal and physiotherapy support, nutrition and metabolic health, and sleep and fatigue awareness.

Regulated clinical care, individual assessment, diagnosis, treatment, medical records and follow-up remain with the responsible licensed provider.

This approach allows organisations to structure workplace health programmes while keeping clinical responsibilities with the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Supporting Healthcare Procurement and Workplace Readiness

For Procurement, HSE, Facilities and Operations teams, Novum can help clarify requirements, compare suitable supplier options, coordinate quotations and logistics, and plan recurring needs such as refills, expiry cycles, servicing, calibration and replacement.

Current areas include first aid kits and replenishment, eyewash requirements, professional alcohol testing equipment, selected emergency readiness products and multi-vendor healthcare sourcing.

The company also notes that Malaysia’s Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) continues to provide dedicated workplace guidance covering areas including first aid and drug and alcohol issues.

Novum’s approach is therefore intended to connect procurement requirements with practical workplace readiness, rather than treating individual products and services as isolated purchases.

Selected Industrial Safety Solutions

For industrial and operational workplaces, Novum can also coordinate selected Dräger safety solutions through established Malaysian supply channels.

These include portable and personal gas detection, area monitoring, respiratory protection and emergency escape equipment, with rental and service pathways considered where appropriate.

Dräger Malaysia publicly supports local sales and technical support covering portable and fixed gas detection, respiratory protection, rental, calibration, maintenance, installation, commissioning, project management, consultancy and system engineering.

Fixed gas engineering and other specialist technical work remain with Dräger or the responsible qualified technical provider.

Creating Clearer Supplier Coordination

A Novum Corporate Health spokesperson said the challenge for organisations is often not simply finding a provider, but understanding the requirement and ensuring the right parties are involved.

“The challenge is rarely finding a provider. It is understanding the requirement, getting the right clinical, technical or supply party involved, and keeping the hand offs clear. Novum was built to give organisations that structure without blurring professional responsibilities.”

The company said its role is centred on programme design, sourcing, coordination and implementation support.

Novum does not position itself as a clinic, laboratory, occupational-health authority, statutory safety certifier or engineering provider. Instead, regulated responsibilities remain with the appropriately licensed, registered, qualified or authorised party.

Focus on Kuala Lumpur and Selangor

The framework is initially focused on organisations in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, with wider Malaysian requirements considered according to partner coverage, supplier capability and project scope.

Novum Corporate Health currently positions itself as a structured point of contact for organisations planning workplace health programmes, medical readiness and selected healthcare procurement requirements. Its services include preventive health programmes, workforce health initiatives, workplace medical readiness, healthcare sourcing and annual corporate health planning.

Organisations reviewing workplace health programmes, first aid readiness, healthcare sourcing, gas detection, respiratory or escape requirements, professional alcohol testing equipment or multi-supplier projects can begin with a defined requirement through Novum Corporate Health.
