Samsung Malaysia brought together key banking executives, affluent customers and VIP guests for a local Galaxy Unpacked watch party, unveiling the company’s latest generation of foldable smartphones and wearable devices.
Hosted alongside the global Galaxy Unpacked event in London, the exclusive Malaysian viewing party welcomed representatives from AmBank and Maybank, giving guests a first look at the all-new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, as well as the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9.
The event provided an exclusive first look at Samsung’s newest foldable innovations, including the new form factor of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
Samsung Highlights Partnerships to Make Galaxy Innovations More Accessible
Speaking at the Galaxy Unpacked live viewing party, Charles Kim, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics, said product launches represent an important moment for Samsung, but that the company’s efforts extend beyond unveiling new devices.
“Partnerships with banks help us bring these products closer to consumers. That is what makes these collaborations meaningful – they connect what we create with the people we create it for.”
Samsung said its long-standing relationships with AmBank and Maybank enable the company to extend exclusive pre-order promotions and flexible payment offerings to Malaysian consumers.
These partnerships are intended to lower barriers to ownership and give more Malaysians the opportunity to experience Samsung’s latest Galaxy devices.

The collaboration also provides benefits to customers of participating banking partners.

The local Galaxy Unpacked event therefore brought together Samsung’s latest technology with its banking partnerships, providing VIP and priority banking customers with an exclusive introduction to the new Galaxy lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 are now available for pre-order in Malaysia, with exclusive launch offers available for a limited time.
From 22 July to 13 August 2026, customers can enjoy launch rewards worth up to RM1,950, subject to eligibility and while stocks last.
