PETALING JAYA: Hyundai Motor Malaysia’s locally produced Hyundai Staria is making its international debut in Thailand with the first export shipment having departed on June 3.
The 10-seater Staria will be officially available for sale to customers in Thailand beginning June 12, marking a landmark milestone for Hyundai Motor Malaysia’s export ambitions and commitment to the Malaysian automotive industry.
“The export of the Hyundai Staria to Thailand marks the beginning of Malaysia being an export hub for Hyundai. This is a milestone we are proud of, as it reflects our brand’s unwavering commitment to deliver vehicles of global quality, while continuing to invest in Malaysia’s growth and development. Driven by our tagline Sentiasa di Sisi Anda, we are just getting started,” said managing director, Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen.
The Hyundai Staria is Hyundai Motor Malaysia’s first locally produced model, alongside its assembly partner Inokom, Sime Motors’ assembly facility in Kulim, Kedah.
Its seven-seater variant was named MPV ICE of the Year at the Malaysia Car of the Year 2025.
