The new 55-foot luxury catamaran combines cutting-edge hydrofoil technology, twin 725 hp engines, bespoke BRABUS craftsmanship and speeds exceeding 40 knots to deliver an unrivalled yachting experience

Luxury yacht builder Sunreef Yachts and high-performance mobility brand BRABUS have unveiled the BRABUS ULTIMA 55, an all-new 55-foot luxury catamaran that combines advanced marine engineering with the unmistakable design language of BRABUS.

As the first exclusive product born from the collaboration between the two brands, the BRABUS ULTIMA 55 introduces a new benchmark for high-performance luxury yachts, blending speed, stability and bespoke craftsmanship with the spaciousness of a multihull design.

A New Era of High-Performance Luxury Yachting

Measuring 55.8 feet (17 metres) in length with a beam of 18.4 feet (5.6 metres), the BRABUS ULTIMA 55 combines the stability and generous living space of a catamaran with the agility typically associated with modern monohull yachts.

Powered by twin six-cylinder engines, each producing 533 kW (725 hp), the luxury catamaran delivers a combined output capable of reaching speeds exceeding 40 knots.

Its standout innovation is an advanced hydrofoil system, which generates lift beneath the surface to raise the hulls higher above the water. By reducing hydrodynamic drag and virtually eliminating heel, the system enhances efficiency, stability and onboard comfort while delivering the sensation of flying above the water.

Francis Lapp, Founder and CEO of Sunreef Yachts, described the vessel as a yacht that combines performance with enjoyment.

“The BRABUS ULTIMA 55 is fast, bold and truly unique. The moment she lifts above the water, you feel the difference. The ride becomes smoother, quieter and incredibly enjoyable. It’s a yacht that lets you leave everyday life behind and make the most of every moment at sea.”

Meanwhile, Constantin Buschmann, CEO and owner of BRABUS, said the project expands the company’s growing marine portfolio into a completely new category while staying true to the brand’s distinctive identity.

Distinctive BRABUS Design Inside and Out

The BRABUS ULTIMA 55 showcases an unmistakable exterior inspired by the marque’s high-performance automotive heritage.

Owners can choose between Graphite Black or Phantom Grey finishes, complemented by exposed carbon-fibre front and rear wings, illuminated BRABUS logos, custom ventilation trims and carbon-fibre LED roof lights.

Additional exterior options include bespoke upholstery finished in BRABUS Graphite, BRABUS Red or BRABUS Pearl, further reinforcing the yacht’s signature styling.

Inside, the saloon reflects the premium finishes synonymous with BRABUS supercars. Premium Moonstone Masterpiece leather, the brand’s signature Triangle stitching, Alcantara headlining and exposed carbon-fibre detailing create a contemporary yet luxurious interior.

The yacht also features bespoke ambient lighting, illuminated BRABUS floor logos and a fully integrated widescreen navigation and control station that centralises vessel monitoring and onboard functions through a dedicated BRABUS user interface.

Designed for Luxury Living at Sea

Beyond its performance credentials, the BRABUS ULTIMA 55 has been designed to maximise comfort and versatility.

The spacious aft deck serves as the yacht’s primary outdoor entertainment area, featuring folding side platforms that expand the beam from 5.6 metres to 7.6 metres, creating a significantly larger open-air living space.

Large transformer sunpads can be converted into comfortable seating, while an extendable carbon-fibre dining table offers flexibility for entertaining or relaxing. The aft deck also includes an electric barbecue grill, wet bar modules and integrated preparation and storage facilities.

A separate sunpad located at the bow provides an additional relaxation area away from the main social space.

Premium Comfort and Smart Onboard Features

The saloon has been designed to function as both a social hub and practical living space.

A fully equipped galley includes an induction cooktop, electric oven, sink, refrigerators, ice makers and integrated storage, allowing guests to prepare meals without leaving the main living area.

Other premium features include:

  • A 43-inch retractable television concealed within the countertop
  • Height-adjustable tables for flexible dining and social layouts
  • A Bowers & Wilkins Marine Series premium sound system
  • Bespoke ambient lighting throughout the interior

Together, these features create a refined onboard environment suited to both entertaining and extended cruising.

Flexible Accommodation for Owners and Guests

The BRABUS ULTIMA 55 is available in two accommodation configurations to suit different owner preferences.

The standard layout features a master suite, VIP stateroom and crew cabin, accommodating four guests and one crew member.

Alternatively, owners can opt for a three-cabin configuration capable of hosting up to six guests, alongside accommodation for one crew member.

Throughout both layouts, curated wood veneers, premium leather finishes and carbon-fibre accents create sophisticated interiors designed for relaxation and comfort.

Setting a New Benchmark in Luxury Catamarans

The BRABUS ULTIMA 55 represents the first exclusive yacht developed through the partnership between Sunreef Yachts and BRABUS, combining cutting-edge naval architecture with bespoke luxury and high-performance engineering.

With its hydrofoil technology, powerful propulsion system, premium craftsmanship and versatile living spaces, the new model sets a new standard for luxury catamarans, offering owners an experience that blends speed, innovation and refined comfort on the water.
