Top Glove Corp Bhd’s FY2026 earnings surged nearly threefold, driven by growing global demand for gloves.
Net profit for the financial year ended Aug 31, 2026 (FY2026) jumped 192% to RM307.96 million from RM105.33 million while revenue rose 21% to RM4.32 billion from RM3.49 billion.
Fourth quarter (Q4) net profit for the world’s largest rubber glove maker soared 353% to RM157.63 million from RM34.83 million a year ago. Revenue rose 40% to RM1.25 billion from RM893.56 million previously.
A final dividend of 1.5 sen per share was declared, with the total dividend for FY2026 amounting to RM120 million, three times FY2025’s payout.
The strong results were driven by global glove demand growth outpacing supply growth, enabling manufacturers to “rebuild margins after several challenging years”, Top Glove said in a statement today.
“The ongoing Middle East crisis further tightened raw material and glove supply, supporting cost pass through and contributing to further margin improvement,” it said.
While flagging challenges ranging from cost pressures to manpower shortages, Top Glove is confident of mitigating these headwinds through continuous quality enhancement and cost optimisation measures.
On the scheduled increase in natural gas tariffs effective Oct 1, it said it is implementing cost saving measures, including establishing “heat energy efficiency partnerships”.
The group’s balance sheet continued to strengthen, turning a net debt of RM267 million in FY2025 to a net cash position of RM141 million in FY2026.
Joint managing directors Ng Yong Lin and Lim Jin Feng said FY2026 marked another milestone for the group as it more than doubled its profitability despite industry headwinds.
“This is a testament to our global competitiveness, which is the result of the disciplined execution of ongoing improvements in quality and cost efficiency, and strong customer relationships,” they added.
Top Glove’s shares rose 11.5% or nine sen to close at 88 sen, valuing the group at RM7.19 billion. The stock has risen 37% year to date.
Top Glove was founded by its executive chairman Lim Wee Chai, 68, and his wife Tong Siew Bee in 1991, and within a decade transformed it into one of the world’s largest producers of rubber gloves.
The group also has manufacturing operations in Thailand and Vietnam, with its 51 factories able to produce 95 billion gloves annually, and exporting to over 195 countries.
