PARTI Bersama Malaysia (BERSAMA) leader Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has urged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to remove UMNO ministers from the Cabinet and terminate Barisan Nasional’s (BN) participation in the Federal Government.
Rafizi cited mounting friction between Pakatan Harapan and BN as a key threat to effective governance, pointing to public disagreements aired during state elections in Johor, Negeri Sembilan, and Melaka.
He argued that repeated political compromises with BN have diluted core reform principles and delayed vital policy implementations to accommodate coalition partners.
“The formula of cooperation between opposing parties sitting together to form the Madani Government is clearly no longer working,” Rafizi stated, adding that as Prime Minister, Anwar holds the responsibility to maintain a cohesive Cabinet aligned with the public interest.
Highlighting concerns over ministerial portfolio stability – including potential cabinet vacancies and complex political arrangements like Confidence and Supply Agreements – Rafizi urged Anwar to act decisively.
He asserted that should UMNO ministers continue to challenge executive authority, the Prime Minister should expel BN from the government and focus on executing key policy reforms ahead of the 16th General Election. — Nov 7, 2026
