KUALA LUMPUR, 5 JUNE 2026 – Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford introduces three new Ford Everest models, led by the powerful 3.0L V6 Platinum, offering enhanced luxury, off-road capability and advanced technology for Malaysian drivers

Ford is strengthening its position in Malaysia’s competitive SUV market with the launch of three new additions to its popular Everest range. Unveiled by Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford (Auto ConneXion-Ford) at Sime Motors MotorExpo 2026, the new Ford Everest Platinum 3.0L, Everest Platinum 2.0L and Everest Sport 2.0L expand the brand’s offering across the premium SUV, family and adventure segments.

The latest additions represent one of the most significant expansions of the Ford Everest line-up in Malaysia, providing customers with a broader choice of vehicles tailored to different lifestyles, from daily commuting and family travel to long-distance touring and outdoor exploration.

A Stronger Ford Everest Range for Modern Lifestyles

Designed to meet the evolving needs of Malaysian motorists, the expanded Everest range combines rugged capability with modern comfort and advanced technology. While each variant is tailored to a different type of customer, all models retain the Everest’s core strengths, including robust engineering, intelligent connectivity, advanced safety features and premium craftsmanship.

The introduction of new powertrain options and upgraded four-wheel-drive systems further enhances the Everest’s appeal among drivers seeking a versatile SUV capable of performing both on and off the road.

Ford Everest Platinum 3.0L: Luxury Meets V6 Power

Leading the new range is the Ford Everest Platinum 3.0L, the most powerful and technologically advanced Everest model currently available in Malaysia.

Powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine, the flagship SUV delivers 250 PS and an impressive 600 Nm of torque. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission featuring an eShifter, the vehicle is equipped with an advanced ElectroMagnetic Transfer Case (EMTC) and a full-time four-wheel-drive system that intelligently distributes torque to maximise traction and stability across challenging terrain.

The Platinum 3.0L also distinguishes itself through exclusive design elements, including bold PLATINUM badging, a distinctive grille, Matrix LED headlights and signature C-clamp daytime running lights. With seating for up to seven passengers and power-folding third-row seats, it offers practicality alongside premium comfort.

Inside, a 12-inch multi-touch display with wireless connectivity and Ford SYNC® 4A delivers a connected and intuitive driving experience, making the SUV equally suited to urban journeys and long-distance adventures.

Premium Comfort with the Everest Platinum 2.0L

For customers seeking a balance between luxury, capability and everyday usability, the new Ford Everest Platinum 2.0L offers a compelling alternative.

Powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine producing 170 PS and 405 Nm of torque, the SUV is paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly (ESOF) part-time four-wheel-drive system.

The model features many of the premium styling cues associated with the Platinum badge, including a redesigned grille, Matrix LED headlights and a sophisticated interior centred around a 12-inch touchscreen with Ford SYNC® 4A connectivity.

The result is a refined SUV experience that combines everyday practicality with premium features and enhanced driving confidence.

Everest Sport 2.0L Targets Adventure-Focused Drivers

The new Ford Everest Sport 2.0L is designed for customers who want a more athletic SUV with enhanced off-road versatility.

Like the Platinum 2.0L, it is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine producing 170 PS and 405 Nm of torque. However, the Sport variant introduces six selectable drive modes, including dedicated Mud/Ruts and Sand settings, enabling drivers to tackle more demanding terrain with greater confidence.

The exterior adopts a sportier character through black styling accents, a distinctive grille and signature LED lighting, while the cabin features newly designed two-tone seats that create a more dynamic and contemporary environment.

Combined with its part-time four-wheel-drive system, the Everest Sport 2.0L offers a versatile blend of everyday practicality and weekend adventure capability.

Expanding Choice in Malaysia’s SUV Market

According to Turse Zuhair, Managing Director of Auto ConneXion, the expanded Everest range reflects Ford’s commitment to meeting the diverse needs of Malaysian consumers.

He noted that the Ford Everest has built strong trust among customers due to its capability and everyday practicality, and the introduction of the new variants provides greater choice for those seeking family-oriented, adventure-ready or premium ownership experiences.

The expansion also strengthens Ford’s position in the growing SUV segment by offering a wider selection of vehicles equipped with advanced technology, capable performance and versatile functionality.

Pricing and Launch Promotions

The new Ford Everest Platinum 3.0L, Everest Platinum 2.0L and Everest Sport 2.0L are now available for order at authorised Ford dealerships nationwide, with prices starting from RM316,888.

As part of the launch campaign, customers who confirm their purchase of any of the new Everest variants during June will receive two years of free scheduled service.

In addition, Ford’s ongoing Fuel Rush Bonanza campaign, which runs until 30 June 2026, gives customers the opportunity to win a year’s worth of free fuel as well as a range of lifestyle, electronics and home prizes, adding further value to the ownership experience.

With the introduction of these new variants, Ford is reinforcing the Everest’s position as one of Malaysia’s most capable and versatile seven-seater SUVs, combining luxury, performance and adventure-ready capability in a single package.
