KUALA LUMPUR, 16 JULY 2026 – BMW expands its high-performance M portfolio in Malaysia with the most powerful BMW M2 ever built and the country’s first-ever BMW M3 Touring, offering enthusiasts a new benchmark in luxury performance motoring

BMW Group Malaysia has strengthened its high-performance vehicle line-up with the introduction of the New BMW M2 CS and the All-New BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive, bringing two of BMW M’s most anticipated models to Malaysian shores.

Unveiled at the BMW Clubhouse held at Factory 19 PJ, the two performance models showcase BMW M’s continued commitment to delivering exhilarating driving experiences while catering to the evolving preferences of Malaysian performance car enthusiasts. Members of the public can experience both models firsthand from 17 to 19 July 2026, alongside BMW Group Malaysia’s latest automotive innovations.

Celebrating the Legacy of BMW M

Speaking at the launch, Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, said the two new models demonstrate the diverse capabilities of BMW M and reinforce the brand’s dedication to performance engineering.

“There is a reason BMW M is known as The Most Powerful Letter in the World. It is not simply a matter of output figures or lap times, but the result of decades of uncompromising commitment to the pursuit of Sheer Driving Pleasure in any form,” he said.

Nagel added that while the New BMW M2 CS represents one of the purest expressions of BMW M engineering, the arrival of the All-New BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive marks a significant milestone as the first-ever BMW M3 Touring to be offered in Malaysia, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the iconic BMW M3.

Both vehicles have also received international recognition. The New BMW M2 CS was named 2025 AUTO BILD Sportscars of the Year in the “Compact Sports Cars over €50,000” category, while the BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive secured the What Car? Performance Car of the Year 2025 title for the second consecutive year.

The New BMW M2 CS: BMW’s Most Powerful M2 Yet

The New BMW M2 CS enters Malaysia as the lightest and most powerful BMW M2 ever produced, combining race-inspired engineering with everyday road usability.

Its exterior is distinguished by a model-specific kidney grille, wider air intakes, exclusive M2 CS badging with red detailing, Adaptive LED headlights, M Lights Shadowline and high-gloss Shadowline trim. Lightweight construction plays a central role in the vehicle’s design, with a carbon-fibre roof, carbon tailgate featuring an integrated ducktail spoiler, and M Carbon rear diffuser helping reduce overall weight by approximately 30kg.

Riding on staggered 19-inch and 20-inch Gold Bronze M light alloy wheels fitted with track tyres, the M2 CS delivers an unmistakably aggressive stance.

Inside, the cabin reflects its motorsport heritage through M Carbon bucket seats, a carbon-fibre centre console, illuminated CS door trims, M Alcantara steering wheel, M seat belts and premium Merino leather upholstery. Despite its track-focused character, the vehicle also offers everyday comforts including electric seat adjustment with memory function, automatic climate control, Comfort Access and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system.

Race-Bred Performance

Powering the New BMW M2 CS is BMW M’s S58 M TwinPower Turbo 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine, closely related to the P58 GT3 race engine.

Producing 530hp and 650Nm of torque, the engine sends power exclusively to the rear wheels via an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, enabling the coupe to sprint from 0–100km/h in just 3.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 302km/h after the mandatory running-in period.

The performance package is complemented by an Adaptive M Suspension lowered by 8mm, an M Sport Differential, M Compound brakes, and M Drive Professional, which includes features such as M Traction Control, M Mode TRACK and the M Drift Analyser for drivers seeking a more immersive driving experience.

BMW has also included an M Intensive Training programme voucher through BMW Driving Experience, allowing owners to safely explore the car’s capabilities on track.

Malaysia’s First-Ever BMW M3 Touring

Making its Malaysian debut, the All-New BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive combines the exhilarating performance of the legendary BMW M3 with the practicality of a Touring body style.

The latest model features redesigned Adaptive LED Matrix headlights, M Lights Shadowline, forged 19-inch and 20-inch M wheels, and an extended high-gloss Shadowline package that reinforces its athletic styling.

True to its Touring DNA, the vehicle offers 500 litres of luggage space, expandable to 1,510 litres, providing greater versatility without compromising performance.

Performance Meets Everyday Practicality

Inside, the M3 Touring Competition M xDrive features a driver-focused cockpit equipped with the latest BMW Curved Display, combining a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a 14.9-inch central control display running BMW Operating System 8.5.

The cabin also includes M Carbon bucket seats upholstered in Merino leather, an M Alcantara steering wheel, carbon-fibre interior trim, ambient lighting, Comfort Access and a Harman Kardon premium sound system with 16 speakers.

Beneath the bonnet sits BMW M’s acclaimed 530hp TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine, producing 650Nm of torque and paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and BMW’s intelligent M xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

The result is blistering performance, with the M3 Touring accelerating from 0–100km/h in just 3.6 seconds, while Adaptive M Suspension, an M Sport Differential and M Compound brakes ensure exceptional handling and everyday usability.

Advanced driver assistance technologies include Driving Assistant Professional, Parking Assistant Plus with Surround View, Remote 3D View and a comprehensive suite of safety systems designed to enhance confidence behind the wheel.

Premium Ownership Experience

BMW Malaysia continues to enhance customer ownership through its Relax. We Care. programme, which includes BMW Proactive Care, allowing vehicles to monitor their condition in real time and notify owners of potential maintenance requirements via the My BMW App or iDrive system.

Owners also benefit from the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI) programme, comprising a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and five years or 100,000km of scheduled servicing. The package is complemented by 24-hour BMW Roadside Assistance, offering towing services, courtesy vehicles and accommodation support during emergencies.

Flexible ownership is further supported through BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, with monthly instalments starting from RM11,262 for the New BMW M2 CS and RM10,646 for the All-New BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive under selected financing plans.

Availability and Pricing

The New BMW M2 CS is offered in Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey and Velvet Blue, paired exclusively with Merino Black upholstery featuring M highlights.

Meanwhile, the All-New BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive is available in Skyscraper Grey and Isle of Man Green, with a choice of premium Merino leather interior combinations.

Recommended retail prices (on-the-road, without insurance) are:

  • New BMW M2 CS – From RM950,800, or RM993,100 with BMW Service & Repair Inclusive.
  • All-New BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive – From RM898,800, or RM950,900 with BMW Service & Repair Inclusive.

With the arrival of these two flagship BMW M models, BMW Malaysia continues to reinforce its position in the luxury performance car segment, offering Malaysian enthusiasts a choice between an uncompromising, track-focused sports coupe and a high-performance Touring that combines everyday practicality with world-class driving dynamics.
