MCCC Women Entrepreneurs Committee launches recruitment across all 13 states, signs five strategic MOUs and reinforces its commitment to women entrepreneurship, AI innovation, CSR and cross-border economic cooperation

The Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) Women Entrepreneurs Committee (WEC) has strengthened its commitment to advancing women entrepreneurship with the successful hosting of the MCCC WEC Media & Charity Night 2026, bringing together government representatives, business leaders, media organisations, chambers of commerce, charitable organisations, corporate partners and members of the public.

The event celebrated significant milestones for the committee while reinforcing its focus on women empowerment, employment, corporate social responsibility (CSR), artificial intelligence (AI), entrepreneurship development and Malaysia–China economic cooperation.

MCCC WEC Chairperson Jamie Tiew Yen Houng said women continue to play a vital role not only within their families but also as key contributors to national economic growth.

She said the committee remains committed to building a global platform that connects women entrepreneurs locally and internationally through resource sharing, strategic collaboration, sustainable business growth and international market expansion.

Nationwide Expansion Across All 13 Malaysian States

A key highlight of the evening was the official launch of MCCC WEC’s nationwide recruitment campaign, which will establish women entrepreneur networks across all 13 Malaysian states.

The initiative aims to strengthen entrepreneurship training, business matching opportunities, international partnerships, resource sharing and cross-border investment, while providing greater support for women-led businesses throughout the country.

The expansion reflects MCCC WEC’s ambition to build a stronger national ecosystem that encourages innovation, collaboration and sustainable business development.

Five Strategic MOUs to Drive Growth and Inclusion

During the event, MCCC WEC signed five Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with strategic partners to promote women entrepreneurship, employment opportunities, vocational skills development, digital transformation, AI adoption, charitable initiatives and CSR programmes.

The partnerships also seek to create greater opportunities for women, single mothers, persons with disabilities (OKU), youths and underserved communities.

The five strategic partners are:

  • Agensi Pekerjaan Kainan Sdn Bhd
  • Benten Global Sdn Bhd (Move Over)
  • IQI Holdings Sdn Bhd
  • Teng Hong Marketing Sdn Bhd
  • MeLife Global (M) Sdn Bhd

The organising committee also acknowledged Elomech Engineering Sdn Bhd and Datuk Seri Tan Choon Hwa for sponsoring part of the event’s catering expenses in support of women entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Promoting AI, Digital Transformation and Social Responsibility

Organising Chairperson Lyndia Wong said that in today’s era of AI, digital transformation and technological innovation, MCCC WEC will continue serving as a bridge between government agencies, businesses, higher education institutions, investors and international organisations.

She said the committee aims to promote entrepreneurship, digital transformation, international business collaboration, talent development, employment and community initiatives while encouraging businesses to balance commercial success with social responsibility.

According to Wong, businesses should become a force for inclusion, sustainability and positive social impact by integrating CSR into their long-term growth strategies.

Industry Leaders Inspire Future Women Entrepreneurs

The event also featured renowned actor and entrepreneur Kuan Teck Hui, who shared his entrepreneurial journey and encouraged women to pursue their ambitions with courage, perseverance and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Meanwhile, Dato’ Seri (Madam) Chong Eng delivered a keynote address on women empowerment, highlighting the importance of women’s leadership, gender equality and women’s contributions to Malaysia’s economic and social development.

Strong Government Support for Women and SMEs

The organising committee expressed appreciation to Deputy Minister of Communications YB Teo Nie Ching, who attended the event despite her busy schedule.

Earlier in the day, she also attended the MCCC WEC press conference and witnessed collaborations between job provider partners, corporate sponsors and strategic partners aimed at advancing women’s employment, talent development and business collaboration.

A congratulatory video message from Member of Parliament YB Tan Kok Wai was also presented, expressing his continued support for MCCC WEC’s efforts in promoting women entrepreneurship, employment, charitable initiatives and CSR.

The committee further thanked MCCC National President Loh Kok Seong for his continued support of the Women Entrepreneurs Committee and its mission to strengthen Malaysia–China business cooperation.

Representing Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, Dato’ Teng Chang Khim, Chairman of SME Corporation Malaysia, attended the event as Guest of Honour.

His presence underscored the Ministry’s commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs, strengthening SME competitiveness, promoting innovation, nurturing talent and advancing corporate social responsibility through stronger public-private collaboration.

Charity Bazaar Supports Underserved Communities

A charity bazaar formed another key component of the event, with MCCC WEC working alongside Dual Blessing Bhd, the Intellectually Disabled Association Malaysia, corporate partners, media organisations and community supporters to raise funds for charitable causes.

Through the initiative, the committee hopes to provide greater support, employment opportunities, entrepreneurial resources and development platforms for women, single mothers, persons with disabilities, children with special needs and other underserved communities.

The programme reflects MCCC WEC’s belief that business and philanthropy can work together to build a more inclusive, caring and sustainable society.

Building the Future of Malaysia–China Business Collaboration

Looking ahead, MCCC WEC plans to continue organising business forums, AI and digital economy conferences, entrepreneurship programmes, leadership development courses, international networking events, charity initiatives, employment matching programmes, youth entrepreneurship projects and cross-border collaborations.

By expanding its nationwide presence and strengthening strategic partnerships, the committee aims to empower more women entrepreneurs while opening a new chapter in Malaysia–China business cooperation, entrepreneurship development and sustainable economic growth.
